Overview

Direct and supervise current Annual giving activities, to secure gifts to St. Luke’s and St. Luke’s College. Develop and recommend goals and objectives for fund raising, implementing campaigns, techniques and department policies to achieve such goals.  Conducts research and maintain records on gift potential of corporations/organizations and individuals.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute strategies to secure gifts to UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s and St. Luke’s College.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the health system to identify potential donors. Assist Foundation staff to formulate and execute fund appeals as expertise is needed
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors. Provide information to key prospects and donors through personal meetings, newsletters, mailings, events and foundation updates.
  • Participate in the design of campaigns to meet priority needs of the hospital and college. Direct and assist administrative functions relating to gifts as necessary.
  • Develop and recommend goals and objectives for fund raising, implementing campaigns, techniques and department policies to achieve such goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on donor management and gift potential.
  • Develops budgets and goals in coordination with St. Luke’s Foundation team.
  • Develop and execute campaigns using techniques of personal solicitation, direct mail solicitation and events.
  • Maintain active involvement in at least one community organization that helps establish linkages to benefit the overall mission of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Foundation.
  • Must work to maintain a cohesive work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the President of St. Luke’s Foundation

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Nonprofit Management/Communications, or related field

Minimum Work Experience

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in development/fundraising, but will train the right candidate

  • Must maintain active involvement in at least one community organization that helps establish linkages to benefit the overall mission of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Foundation.
