Administrative Assistant 1, Annual Fund, Alumni Association, to support staff who are managing the Annual Fund’s diverse volunteer fund-raising campaigns spanning undergraduate alumni classes, graduate exclusive alumni, and affinity-based campaigns including the MIT 24-Hour Challenge. Will offer essential support for all phases of volunteer fund-raising efforts from volunteer recruitment, training and campaign results tracking, through final campaign stewardship needs.  Will be responsible for volunteer recruitment, training, and management of MIT 24-Hour Challenge volunteers; managing the Annual Fund’s online volunteer fund-raising tool including the development of volunteer and staff training materials; and tracking of questions, concerns, and enhancement requests.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent; two years of relevant experience, preferably in higher education fund-raising; excellent organizational, time-management, problem-solving, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; ability to approach problems proactively and with sense of urgency; attention to detail; a high degree of diplomacy, tact, flexibility, and discretion; and proficiency with Microsoft Office.  Seek a self-motivated team player who is able to work on multiple assignments/projects independently in a fast-paced work environment.  

Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
