Loyola Marymount University is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Leadership Giving.  The Assistant Director of Annual Leadership Giving has the primary purpose of increasing leadership level support (gifts of $1,000 – $25,000) for LMU through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of alumni, parents, and friends of LMU. The Assistant Director will be responsible for developing and managing key volunteer committees dedicated to helping increase participation and leadership level support for LMU.  Candidates must be able to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.

Additional responsibilities include: in consultation with the Associate Director of Annual Leadership Giving, establish and meet annual qualitative and quantitative goals, objectives and key accountabilities in order to increase donors and dollars raised through The LMU Society, Loyola Marymount University’s leadership giving society; report progress and provide assessment and analysis on a regular basis; and manage and recruit  key volunteer committees dedicated to helping increase participation and support.

We seek candidates with typically a Bachelor’s degree. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes. Candidates must have at minimum 3 years of direct or related solicitation experience in progressively responsible positions, preferably in a higher education setting.  We require candidates to have demonstrated knowledge in the areas of fundraising, volunteer management, event production, communication, and office systems along with the ability to perform complex and concurrent administrative tasks involving independent judgment.   Successful candidates will also have highly developed organizational and leadership skills.
