The Assistant Director of the Alumni Annual Fund is part of a successful Alumni Annual Fund Team. Collectively, the Alumni Annual Fund raises $8 to $9 million from alumni, parents, and friends of the College, and consistently leads in alumni participation nationwide with a goal of 50% or more. The goal of the Alumni Annual Fund is to drive innovation in the Fund, leading Carleton to become a national model for annual giving programs. Work to maintain best-practice participation while meeting the goals for the operating budget and identifying areas of growth.

The Assistant Director of the Alumni Annual Fund works to identify, recruit, cultivate, motivate, support, and steward alumni volunteers in a range of ten or more classes, including two or more reunion classes. They will work with volunteers to develop and implement individually tailored goals and fundraising plans for each class that coordinate with overall fundraising calendar and objectives.

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) exempt, regular, benefit-eligible staff position. Some travel, as well as some evening and weekend work is expected.

The successful candidate possess a Bachelor’s Degree and has 3 – 6 years previous experience in educational fundraising or comparable experience. Has strong and persuasive oral and written communication skills, with the judgment and secretion to handle confidential or sensitive matters.
