Dan Allenby | Principal & Founder

Dan is an author, speaker, and consultant who has worked with academic institutions for over two decades to train their advancement staff and volunteers. A recipient of the prestigious CASE “Crystal Apple” award for teaching excellence, Dan is an internationally-recognized expert on annual giving and alumni engagement. He chaired CASE’s Institute for Senior Annual Giving Professionals and its Annual Giving Workshop for five collective terms and served on the faculty for CASE’s Summer Institute in Educational Fundraising. His bookIdeas for Annual Giving – offers the latest designs for helping institutions increase annual giving and boost alumni participation. Previously, he served as the assistant vice president for annual giving at Boston University, and also led annual giving and member marketing efforts at Tufts University, Georgetown University, and the National Geographic Society. Dan received an MBA from Boston College and a BA from James Madison University, and a certificate in the Management of Communication Organizations from Tufts University. Brian Allenby | Director of Operations

Brian has over 15 years of marketing, communications and fundraising experience at a variety of non-profit organizations and businesses, ranging from the music industry to transportation advocacy to environmental initiatives. He has worked with AGN from its earliest days and oversees day-to-day operations including membership, marketing, and technology. Brian has a B.A. in Political Science from American University. Anne Murphy | Senior Consultant

Anne has over a decade of experience, including overseeing parent and alumni giving programs. Previously, she served as Director of Annual Giving at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, and held annual giving positions at St. Mark’s School of Texas, University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and at the Public Broadcasting Service. Sarah Rubin | Program Manager

Sarah oversees the coordination of AGN’s training programs, working with our faculty to produce webinars and other valuable educational content. Her background includes diverse experience in high-end event and restaurant management, as well as travel planning services. Sarah has a B.A. in Art History from Skidmore College. Skylar Beaver | Senior Faculty

Skylar brings more than a decade of experience to AGN. Along with her role on our faculty, she also helps manage recruiting projects. A frequent CASE presenter and past Chair of STAFF’s Sharing the Annual Fund Fundamentals, she currently serves as the Director of The Lawrenceville Fund. Previously, she led annual giving efforts at The Spence School, Washington and Lee University and Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Anthony Cernera | Senior Faculty

Anthony has a 10-year career where he has overseen broad-based engagement and solicitation strategies for a variety of programs and constituencies. He is currently the Senior Director of Annual Giving and Engagement at Geisinger. Previously, he served at Stony Brook University, the University of Scranton and Sacred Heart University. Gina Fiorillo | Senior Faculty

Gina has over 20 years of experience, managing multi-channel fundraising efforts including direct mail, phonathon, and email. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Annual Giving at the Rutgers University Foundation. Her career includes work at Kean University and Douglass College as well as several non-profits including Slow Food USA and the George Street Playhouse. Elizabeth Keppel | Senior Faculty

Elizabeth’s career has spanned direct marketing, frontline fundraising, volunteer and board management, and special campaigns. She is currently the Director of Development, Annual Giving at the University of Florida, where she oversees a university-wide leadership annual giving program. She has also worked in annual giving at the College of William & Mary. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Government & Philosophy and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from William & Mary. Christy Moss | Senior Faculty

Christy’s 15 years of development experience includes leading efforts in annual giving, stewardship & donor relations, communications & marketing, data analytics, and event strategy. She is the Executive Director of Strategic Engagement at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has worked on three capital campaigns. A speaker with CASE, she has also published multiple times in the Journal of Education Advancement & Marketing. Craig Waltman | Senior Faculty

Craig is the Director of Annual Giving at Haverford College, where he oversees all aspects of the College’s annual giving program. Prior to joining Haverford in 2010, he served as a fundraising strategy and communications consultant. He also held positions in annual giving at Swarthmore College and in advancement at The Pathway School. Craig is an active volunteer with STAFF, Elizabethtown College, and serves on the Board of his local YMCA. He has frequently served as a volunteer and presenter with CASE.
